What is CoolTone?

The CoolTone device is the newest in non-invasive body sculpting gaining FDA clearance in 2019. CoolTone is manufactured by Allergan (the maker of Botox and CoolSculpting) and has been clinically proven to increase muscle mass and reduce fat for the abdomen, buttocks and legs, and it is Pain Free! We are the first practice in the Hartford CT area to have the CoolTone device will be available to only a limited number of practices in the United States in late 2019. Cooltone uses high-powered coil electromagnetic stimulation applicators to induce nerve action potential depolarizations for supramaximal contractions in muscle tissue resulting in increase muscle mass and strength. The frequency of muscle contractions produced by Cooltone are at a supernatural level that cannot be achieved by normal exercise. What Areas Can Be Treated?

CoolTone can build and tone muscles in the abdomen, buttocks and legs. During a Cooltone treatment, an applicator is used to deliver energy to contract the muscle tissue. Approximately 20,000 supramaximal muscle contractions will occur during a single session. During treatment, the muscles respond to this intensity and begin to remodel and develop muscle tissue, similar to intense exercise. The process allows patients to receive natural looking tone and contours without a surgical procedure. One treatment session typically lasts about 30 minutes. A series of 4 is typically recommended depending on your ultimate goals , which 2 weekly sessions can be performed.

What Are the Differences Between CoolSculpting and CoolTone & EMSCULPT?

CoolSculpting is a proven way to get rid of fat bulges using cryolipolysis. CoolTone compliments the results of CoolSculpting by increasing muscle mass, by toning existing muscles, and by resulting in further fat loss on its own. Treatments can be done together, alone, or in combination. CoolTone vs EMSCULPT: CoolTone device can provide 50% more magnetic intensity (1.35 Tesla vs 0.9 Tesla) when compared to EMSCULPT and operating at 100%.

Frequently Asked Questions

CoolTone treatment is virtually painless, and each treatment session lasts 30 minutes per treatment area. CoolTone can be used alone or in conjunction with CoolSculpting or other body contouring treatments.

There is no downtime required for the CoolTone treatment, and you may return to your daily activities immediately after your session.

There are no significant side effects associated with this treatment. Some patients may experience redness or tenderness in the treatment area(s) that typically resolve on its own within 24 hours. Adverse effects may include but are not limited to muscular pain, temporary muscle spasm, temporary joint or tendon pain, and local erythema.

Majority of patients will see improvement immediately after treatment that will continue to improve over the course of a few weeks.

The number of sessions needed to achieve your desired results vary patient to patient. Although the majority of patients may see immediate results after one treatment, some individuals may require additional sessions to achieve optimal results. CoolTone results can last upward of +6 months with a healthy diet and routine exercise. Retreatment may be needed to maintain CoolTone results overtime.

CoolTone cost is significantly less than other muscle stimulation technologies.

CoolTone should be used with caution in patients with Grave's disease, active bleeding disorders or seizure disorders, and anoyone with implantable devices.
