Radiance Medspa is proud to announce the addition of the Selphyl System Platelet-Rich Fibrin Matrix (PRFM). You may already be familiar with the benefits of PRP - platelet-rich plasma - which isolates natural growth factors from your own blood. These growth factors stimulate the body's healing processes when injected into the skin. The result is a healthy glow, enhanced skin tone and texture, and improvements like reduced appearance of acne scarring and decreased pore size.
Platelet-rich plasma offers incredible results, but this treatment has gotten even better thanks to the Selphyl System's ability to produce PRFM through a controlled process that protects and preserves platelets and removes virtually all inapplicable cells. Although it's the most advanced system available, the process is simple. During a short visit to our medspa, a patient's blood is drawn into a tube, which is placed into a centrifuge, a sort of spinner, where the platelets are separated from the red and white blood cells. The platelets and plasma are placed in a solution where the fibrin polymerization takes place, and finally, the patient's own PRFM can be used during treatment.
So that's the science behind PRFM, but you don't need to understand it to reap the benefits.
