What is dull, dry, and flaky? Every inch of my body, thanks to the frigid weather. Thankfully, we know just what you need to combat all your winter-skin problems. Follow these tips for soft, dewy skin-and you don't have to wait for a snowy day. [Source: Allure.com]

Lips: For extremely chapped lips, try rubbing on a 1 percent hydrocortisone cream. This locks in the moisture, leaving your lips plump and hydrated. To treat lips that are already cracked, slather on a coat of lip balm over an antibiotic ointment, such as Polysporin.

Hands: To seal cracks on fingers or heels, try a dab of Krazy Glue. For real. It's similar to the material used in hospital operating rooms for sutureless skin closure. Apply just a drop, scrape away the excess immediately with the end of the tube, and voilà.

Elbows: Soften rough elbows while you sleep by cutting the toes off a pair of socks. Then slather vegetable shortening on the elbows. (FYI: This is such an effective moisturizer, some doctors even use it to treat eczema and psoriasis.) Slide the socks up over your arms-they'll keep the shortening from moisturizing your bedsheets, too-and when you wake up, your skin will be as good as new.

Feet: Prevent feet from getting rough by using a loofah or a grainy body scrub every time you shower. As soon as you get out, apply two layers of a thick cream, and slip on a pair of socks or terry-cloth flip-flops to absorb the excess.
