Post Treatment Instruction Microdermabrasion

Please observe the following after a Microdermabrasion treatment:

First 72 hours Post-Treatment

  • Your skin is more vulnerable to irritation and damage.  You may find that you are sensitive to products that you usually use and tolerate well.
  • Cleanse with a gentle, non-acid cleanser.
  • Avoid direct sun exposure. After 72 hours a sunscreen with a SPF 30 or greater should be used whenever exposure to sunlight.  This precaution should be continued throughout treatment duration.
  • Avoid and discontinue all products containing Retin-A®, Renova®, retinol, alpha or beta hydroxyl acids, hydroquinone, benzoyl peroxide, enzyme peels or masques, and any scrubs or exfoliating agents.

After 72 hours Post-Treatment

  • Continue cleansing with a gentle, non-acid cleanser until advised by your clinician to return to your pre-treatment cleanser.
  • Avoid all products containing Retin-A®, Renova®, retinol, alpha or beta hydroxyl acids, hydroquinone, benzoyl peroxide, enzyme peels or masques, and any scrubs or exfoliating agents, until advised by your clinician.
  • If treating hyper pigmentation, you may use a skin bleaching product as tolerated.
